Kartra is an all-in-one marketing platform created by a company named Genesis Digital. It launched in 2018 and has become very popular since. Genesis Digital has also developed various other successful SaaS tools for online businesses like EverWebinar and WebinarJam.
One of the reasons Kartra has become so popular is its incredible list of features, which can help you market and run your business. They also combine very well, which pretty much eliminates the need for integrations.
But we’ll talk more about that later on…
BuilderAll is another all-in-one SaaS tool you can use to build your sales funnels, websites, and more. Compared to Kartra, it’s been around much longer as Brazilian Entrepreneur Erick Salgado founded the company in 2008.
However, in recent years the platform has grown exponentially on an international level and is known to be one of the most popular funnel builders on the market. I also like BuilderAll because the platform keeps adding new features to its platform, but we’ll look at that in more detail later.
Which has the best features?
As already mentioned, Kartra and BuilderAll both aim to be all-in-one tools. Therefore, they have a huge list of features. For this comparison, we’ll look at Kartra’s list first and then compare BuilderAll’s to it.
Kartra has an incredible list of features, which I have listed below. The cool thing about Kartra is that the individual features are almost always like dedicated platforms. For example, video hosting pretty much has everything Wistia has. And the same goes for its autoresponder, which you can also compare to a dedicated platform.

What I like about Kartra’s features is that everything can be split-tested, too, no matter whether it’s your pages, emails, or anything else.
Marketing & Sales Tools
Marketing and Sales is one area where Kartra really performs well. With the founders of Genesis Digital having such a long history in internet marketing, this is no surprise.
Kartra comes with an incredibly easy-to-use page builder, high-converting checkouts, a comprehensive email marketing tool, and robust affiliate management.
Additionally, you can also share all your campaigns with other Kartra accounts using a code. Plus, you can also access a library of pre-made campaigns ready to use for your business.
Pages & Checkouts
Kartra comes with a library of templates that you can easily edit with the drag & drop builder. I really like the templates, as they have a nice variety of types and styles.
The checkouts come with everything you need to make the most out of your visitors, such as one-click order bumps, upsells, and downsells. And they can easily be embedded into any of your Kartra pages.
Email & SMS Marketing Tools
Everyone knows how much email & SMS marketing can benefit a business. Kartra gives you all the tools you need to promote your business via SMS and email. And it’s exactly like a dedicated platform.
You can create automation sequences and send newsletters to convert your leads into sales. I was also impressed by how comprehensive the email automation sequences were.
Affiliate Management & Marketplace
Kartra’s affiliate management feature is one of the best on the market. It gives you everything you need to find a hungry army of affiliates that promote your product. Not only this, but it also gives you some great options when creating your affiliate program so that you can generate the most sales possible.

As you can see, Kartra doesn’t only perform well in marketing & sales tools. I really like that Kartra has membership sites built-in and video hosting, as this helps you avoid additional costs.
Plus, Kartra’s analytics are super-detailed, too, and give you access to insights on every step of your marketing campaign.
As we have seen, Kartra really has a lot of features. Let’s take a look at how BuilderAll compares.

As you can see, BuilderAll has a very similar set of features to Kartra. I have used both platforms and personally prefer Kartra, as it’s easier to use, and most of the individual features are slightly better.
For example, BuilderAll does not let you build CPA affiliate programs, and its affiliate management isn’t as good as Kartra’s in general. Or, the analytics are much better inside of Kartra too.
This is also the case for the email marketing, page builder, video hosting, and membership sites. However, that is to be expected because of the pricing difference, which we’ll look at later on.
Features BuilderAll has that Kartra doesn’t
Builderall has some features that Kartra doesn’t have, which include:
- Blogging apps (which I wouldn’t really recommend using, I’d suggest going for WordPress for your blog)
Arguably the most significant of these features is webinars. This feature is available inside of Kartra too, but only with integrations to WebinarJam and Everwebinar. Apart from that, there isn’t anything too big that Kartra is missing.
I wouldn’t really recommend using BuilderAll for blogging, and getting a messenger app costs as little as $8 per month.
Features that Kartra has, But Builderall Doesn’t
Kartra also has some other features that BuilderAll doesn’t have:
- Kartra Agency
Plus, from most of the features that they both have, Kartra performs a little better. I have also noticed about the BuilderAll community that it’s almost a little like an MLM, meaning that most users promote BuilderAll.
That being said, the platform still has some decent value and is definitely useable. It’s just a lot of the users use the platform to promote it. However, it has its fair share of bugs and can feel clunky at times, which is somewhat expected at the price point.
Advantage: Kartra. Builderall does well in the number of features, but Kartra has better emails, pages, affiliate management, analytics, etc., so it’s a point for Kartra.
How Much Does Each Cost?
Now that we have taken a look at the features let’s look at how much they cost.
- Starter $99 per month
- Silver $199 per month
- Gold $299 per month
- Platinum $499 per month
I like Kartra’s pricing because you get all features on every plan apart from the Kartra agency. The only difference between the plans is the usage limits. I would assume that the silver plan is suited for most small to medium-sized businesses because it really doesn’t have many usage limits but is still affordable.
Additionally, you can also get each plan for around 25% less when you pay annually.

BuilderAll is known for its affordable pricing, as its most expensive plan only costs $99.90 per month. Unlike with Kartra, you do not get access to all features on every plan. If you want to have access to them all, you will have to be on the highest plan.
The lowest plan ($29.90) is pretty much just emails and websites, which is decent for the price point.
One option up is the premium plan at $69.90 plan, which gives you access to most features apart from the pre-built funnels and everything.

Advantage: BuilderAll. Despite the features not being the same quality as Kartra, Builderall does win when it comes to price. Its most expensive plan costs as much as the lowest Kartra plan.
Everything Else You Need To Know About Kartra and BuilderAll
There’s still a lot more to these platforms than pricing and features. Below, I’ve explained everything else you need to know about Kartra and BuilderAll.
Which Is Easier To Use?
Definitely Kartra. As mentioned earlier, BuilderAll can be very clunky at times. Plus, the dashboard and its apps often load slow. Additionally, it can be quite hard to find everything that you need inside of BuilderAll.
Kartra, on the other hand, has a learning curve too, which is normal for the number of features it has. But, it’s much easier to use than BuilderAll.
Which Has Better Support?
Neither of these platforms has outstanding support, as they only offer email/ticketing. But, I must say that BuilderAll’s support team is quite bad from what I have heard. From what I have heard in a couple of Facebook groups, they’re not very helpful.
Whether this is true, I am not sure as I’ve never personally contacted them. Kartra’s support, on the other hand, is very helpful and knowledgeable, despite only offering ticketing/email support.
Which has more Integrations?
Without Zapier, BuilderAll only has three integrations; WordPress, Desktop.com, and Zapier.
Kartra, on the other hand, has a lot more integrations, 20 in total, and you also get API access.
Which Has Better Templates?
This is another point for Kartra, as BuilderAll’s templates look slightly cheap, especially Kartra’s.
The ones inside of BuilderAll look very similar to ClickFunnels and almost like a cheaper version of them.
Kartra’s templates, on the other hand, look clean and have a nice variety of styles to suit pretty much any business.
Which Has The Better Page Builder?
This is also another point for Kartra, as it’s a lot easier to use and has slightly more functions. Again, this is due to BuilderAll being slightly clunky. However, Kartra also lets you take the pages you create and embed them anywhere you want.
My Final Thoughts
As you have seen throughout this article, both Kartra and BuilderAll have an incredible list of features.
Overall, I would say that Kartra is better because its individual features are better. The only area where BuilderAll really wins is price. However, that doesn’t mean that Kartra is necessarily the right choice for you.

Why Choose Kartra
Kartra is one of the best all-in-one platforms on the market. The main reason for this is because all the individual features are like a dedicated platform, which eliminates the need for integrations. Plus, it also gives you everything you need to market your products effectively.
If you’re looking for a platform with the best possible marketing features, Kartra is definitely the right choice.
Additionally, it has everything you need to run an online business, thanks to its video hosting, membership sites, helpdesks, calendars, etc.
Kartra also does all of this at an incredible price, as it’s much more affordable than purchasing an individual platform for every feature.
Why Choose BuilderAll
BuilderAll does one thing especially well; offering a lot of features for a small price. You won’t really find another platform that offers this much, for such a small price besides maybe GrooveFunnels’ free plan.
As we saw in the features earlier, BuilderAll is like a cheaper version of Kartra. The individual features aren’t quite as good as Kartra’s, but that’s expected at the price point. If you’re on a budget but want to access the features mentioned in this article, then BuilderAll is a good option.
However, keep in mind that you might upgrade to another platform in the future to get access to better features.
