The only funnel builder I recommend is ClickFunnels 2.0, for a few reasons.
It's affordable, easy to use, a complete product and they have a helpful customer team. I can't say the same for the other funnel builders I've tested on this website anymore.

If you have been looking into funnel and landing page building, you may have come across GrooveFunnels and LeadPages.
While both are great options if you are using them correctly, choosing the wrong one could limit your business’s growth.
Throughout this in-depth post, we’re going to compare both of these options in detail to help you get a better understanding of which is best for you.
Here's what we'll cover...
About GrooveFunnels
GrooveFunnels is an all-in-one funnel builder that launched last year but is still in beta.
Despite this, it’s already growing at an incredible rate and has over 100,000 members.
The founding members of GrooveFunnels are:
- Matt Seralta
- Mike Filsaime
- John Cornetta
- Matt Naus
GrooveFunnels aims to be an all-in-one solution for online businesses that replaces all the other SaaS tools they use.
About LeadPages
Compared to GrooveFunnels, LeadPages is a bit more of a dinosaur as it was founded in 2008. Since then, it has become one of the most popular landing page builders on the market and has employed over 42 people around the world.
Its main focus is to provide businesses with a simple, and easy-to-use landing page builder that also converts.
Which Has The Better Features?
As we have seen in the previous section, they both aim to satisfy different needs.
While GrooveFunnels tries to replace almost any type of SaaS tool there is, LeadPages focuses on landing pages only. Because of this, there is also a clear difference in features which is explained in more detail below.
GrooveFunnels Features
Something important to note about GrooveFunnels before we go into the list of features is that it’s still in beta. Because of this, some of the features are not available yet.
After we run through the full list of features, I will also show you what already is available.
Spoiler Alert: It’s most of the main features.
Below, you can see the full list of features, alongside what type of platform they look to replace in the brackets.
- GroovePages (Page builder)
- GrooveSell (Sales platform)
- GrooveAffiliate (Affiliate platform)
- GrooveMail (email autoresponder)
- GrooveMember (Membership site builder)
- GrooveVideo (Video hosting software)
- GrooveKart (E-commerce platform)
- GrooveWebinars Live (Live webinar platform)
- GrooveWebinars Automated (Automated webinar platform)
- GrooveStreaming Live (Streaming platform for social media)
- GrooveSurvey (Survey feature)
- GrooveQuiz (Quiz feature)
- GrooveBlog (Blogging platform)
- GrooveDesk (Support desk platform)
- GrooveCalendar (Calendar platform)
- GroovePipe CRM (CRM platform)
- GrooveFunnel Mapping (Funnel mapping platform)
- GrooveProof (Social proof platform)
- GrooveAutomations (Automations platforms)
- GrooveSDK (3rd party developer access)
As you can see, the list of features is pretty huge, but not all of them are available.
However, Mike Filsaime (one of the founders) has also been involved in various other successful projects like Kartra, EverWebinar, and WebinarJam, so he is very trustworthy.
Not only this but as already mentioned most of the main features are already available.
Here’s a list of everything that is already inside of GrooveFunnels:
- GroovePages
- GrooveMail
- GrooveSell
- GrooveAffiliate
- GrooveMember
- GrooveVideo
- GrooveDesk
- GrooveKart
These features alone are what you would usually need around four to eight SaaS tools for.
And, considering the low price at which GrooveFunnels is already offering these, it’s a pretty sweet deal. The rest is more like a bonus.
Something that I also find quite impressive about GrooveFunnels is that you can get access to all of these features with their free plan. This plan is completely free and does not require a credit card. You can access it using the button below.
LeadPages Features
LeadPages also has some great features, but unlike GrooveFunnels they are all related to landing pages and building similar types of pages.
Beautiful Templates
One of LeadPages core features is the selection of templates.
It comes with over 150 free templates that you can choose from, and you can also often find more on their blog.
The templates range from squeeze page templates to full-navigation websites, so you can build a wide variety of websites with LeadPages.
Drag & Drop Website & Landing Page Builder
The next core feature of LeadPages is their landing page and website builder. It’s incredibly easy to use and allows you to build beautiful websites from scratch or using their templates.
Compared to GrooveFunnels’, it’s slightly smoother, as GrooveFunnels is still in development and has a couple of bugs still to fix. Although, the GrooveFunnels team is continuously working on them.
But, it seems that GrooveFunnels has a few more elements that you can pick from, compared to LeadPages.
Both of the page builders also come with great analytics and also let you sell products, or collect information from your customers.
Pop-Ups & Alert Bars
LeadPages also comes with a wide range of pop-ups and alert bars which include everything from exit-intent pop-ups to announcement alert bars. GrooveFunnels also has these, but it seems that LeadPages has more options for the alert bars.
That being said, they both have a huge selection of pop-ups and similar that you can add to your pages.
Forms
Last but not least, LeadPages also comes with forms that you can use within LeadPages to collect information from your customers. With both LeadPages and GrooveFunnels you can also add custom fields that allow you to collect custom data from your customers, such as shirt size.
Building forms is also incredibly easy with LeadPages and it’s very similar to their drag & drop process of building websites. You simply select the elements that you want on your form, drag it there, and fill out any information needed to create the form.
Advantage: Although LeadPages has some great landing-page and website features, GrooveFunnels pretty much matches these… And adds the features of many other SaaS tools. In terms of features, it’s a clear win for GrooveFunnels.
How Much Does Each Cost?
Now that we have taken a look at what GrooveFunnels and LeadPages have to offer, let’s take a look at the costs of the platforms.
GrooveFunnels Pricing
GrooveFunnels is known to have incredibly affordable pricing plans when you consider the value in their platform.
GrooveFunnels FREE
As already mentioned GrooveFunnels does have a completely free plan. The cool thing about this plan is that you even get access to all of GrooveFunnels’ features.
However, as you’d expect, it does also come with a few limitations which include:
- 3 Websites
- 3 Custom domains
- 500 email contacts
- 15 videos
- 1 Membership site
- GrooveKart higher fees
If you take a look closely at these limitations, they aren’t actually that bad. You still get everything you need to start building your online business.
If you’re just starting and you’re not ready to invest as much, this could be the perfect solution.
There is also no credit card required, so you don’t need to worry about getting charged. You can get your free account here.
GrooveFunnels Platinum Lifetime
The second GrooveFunnels pricing plan that is available at the moment is the GrooveFunnels Premium Lifetime option.
This plan comes with pretty much everything GrooveFunnels has to offer, and there are almost no limits. This means you’ll be able to replace dozens of SaaS tools that you are currently using with just this one software.
If you’re serious about online business, I can almost guarantee that one day you’ll need most of the features. In this case, investing in GrooveFunnels would be very worth it.
Below, you can see a comparison of how much these features would normally cost you with the leading platform for that particular feature.
As you can see, the GrooveFunnels platinum lifetime option is an incredible offer and can help you save thousands of dollars per year. If you would like to upgrade now and go straight to the upgrade page that is available here.
Or, you can also click the button below to sign up for a free account and test it first.
GrooveFunnels Future Pricing
Something that you should be aware of is that GrooveFunnels will cost around $299 per month for the Platinum version in the future. And, at some point, this lifetime deal we mentioned above will disappear. It’s already gone from including 25,000 contacts to 10,000.
So, if you do want to take advantage of the lifetime deal, you should do so ASAP.
But, you should also not be afraid of testing the platform out first to see whether you really like it.
LeadPages Pricing
LeadPages sadly doesn’t have the lifetime deal available that GrooveFunnels has, but it still has some pretty nice annual discounts which are around 30-40%. For more info on those, you can check out the official pricing here.
It has three main pricing plans as you can see in the image below:
There isn’t really too much to say about the pricing plans as they seem pretty average, but fair for what you get.
The only complaint I would have about them is the number of sites that you get on the Pro and Standard plan. The free version of GrooveFunnels gives you the same number of sites as LeadPages Pro, and the next upgrade from LeadPages Pro is $321 per month. That’s not ideal if you’re someone who is maybe trying out different businesses and needs to create more than 3 sites.
Advantage: GrooveFunnels.
Everything Else You Need To Know About GrooveFunnels & LeadPages
Last but not least, I also wanted to talk you through questions that will answer everything else you need to know about GrooveFunnels and LeadPages.
Which Is Easier To Use?
Both GrooveFunnels and LeadPages are very easy to use. Their drag & drop builder runs smoothly and the dashboard makes it easy to find everything. Although, LeadPages makes it a tiny bit easier to build pages because it’s more developed, integrating software to get all the features you need can be quite frustrating. So, I would call this a tie.
Advantage: Tie
Which Has Better Support?
While they both have live chat and email support, LeadPages also has phone support. That being said, the phone and live chat support for LeadPages is only available on the Pro and Advanced plans which are quite annoying.
From my experience, the GrooveFunnels team has also always been incredibly friendly and even recorded personalized video tutorials. All in all, I would call this one a tie too, as GrooveFunnels also offers live chat for free members during standard work hours.
Advantage: Tie
Which Has The Better Integrations?
This one is a clear win for LeadPages, as it doesn’t have the features to build an entire online business, so it needs integrations. For almost every feature that GrooveFunnels has or is getting, LeadPages has an integration.
On the other hand, though, you could argue that GrooveFunnels doesn’t really need the same number of integrations because of the features. Still, it’s a win for LeadPages.
Advantage: LeadPages
Which Has Better Templates?
If we are solely talking about websites and landing pages, then yes LeadPages wins as that’s what it specializes in. However, GrooveFunnels also comes with some stunning templates for emails, membership sites, and more.
So, again I would call this one a tie too.
Advantage: Tie
Which Has The Better Page Builder?
Right now, LeadPages’ page builder runs a tiny bit smoother because the GrooveFunnels’ team still has some bugs to fix. They are, however, continuously working on them. GrooveFunnels does also have more elements, so I would say this one is a tie too.
Advantage: Tie
My Final Thoughts
As you have seen throughout this article, both GrooveFunnels and LeadPages are pretty good pieces of software. They are simply different.
GrooveFunnels tries to replace almost every SaaS tool on the market, while LeadPages specializes in landing pages.
Both of them, are pretty good at what they do. And although it would be hard to pick out a winner, I would say that overall GrooveFunnels is probably a better deal.
However, that doesn’t mean, it has to be the right choice for you which is why explained below in more detail why you should choose which one.
Why Choose GrooveFunnels
GrooveFunnels is looking to become a true all-in-one platform with everything you need to build a business.
Already, it has some of the most powerful features, and also one of the biggest quantities on the market.
If you think you’ll need these in the future, it would make sense to invest in them now to save thousands of dollars in subscription fees. Otherwise, you might have to end up paying $299 per month in the future.
Why Choose LeadPages
LeadPages is also a pretty good software, but it focuses on building landing pages and websites.
If this is the only feature you are looking for, then it would make sense to go for LeadPages as that’s what they specialize in. Because of this, they also have a few more templates for landing pages & websites.
However, if you do go for LeadPages make sure to keep in mind any additional costs of other software if you do need them, like an autoresponder, membership sites, etc.
