The only funnel builder I recommend is ClickFunnels 2.0, for a few reasons.
It's affordable, easy to use, a complete product and they have a helpful customer team. I can't say the same for the other funnel builders I've tested on this website anymore.

GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels is a largely debated topic in the online marketing & funnel-building community. There’s no doubt that they’re both great pieces of software, but which is the better choice for your business? That’s exactly what we’re going to take a detailed look at throughout this article.
Something that I did notice about GrooveFunnels is it has a pretty sweet free plan available. But, we’ll discuss that more in a little bit…
Here's what we'll cover...
About GrooveFunnels
GrooveFunnels is a rather new platform as it only launched this year. It’s designed to help online businesses start and scale using powerful features for a variety of purposes.
What GrooveFunnels aims to do is to replace almost all the SaaS tools that businesses use with all of its features. As you can imagine, this means it has a pretty big list of features which I’ll run you through later in this article.
The platform was founded by:
- Mike Filsaime
- John Cornetta
- Matt Serralta
- Matt Naus
Mike Filsaime was previously also involved in other successful projects like Kartra, WebinarJam & Everwebinar which you may be familiar with. He has a great track record in the digital marketing community for those reasons!
About ClickFunnels
ClickFunnels has been in the game a little longer since 2014 to be exact. It was founded by Russell Brunson and has since then become the most popular funnel builder on the market with over 150,000 paying customers each month!
Similar to GrooveFunnels it also aims to be an all-in-one solution for online businesses. Although, when ClickFunnels was launched, the barrier for “all-in-one” was significantly lower than it is now.
Which has better features?
Now that we have taken a look at the basic information about both of the platforms, let’s dive into the most important part of this comparison, the features.
GrooveFunnels Features
As you probably remember, at the start of this review I mentioned that GrooveFunnels has a huge list of features.
Take a look at the full list below, and you’ll see what I’m talking about. The brackets indicate what type of SaaS tool that particular feature replaces.
- GroovePages (Page builder)
- GrooveSell (Sales platform)
- GrooveAffiliate (Affiliate platform)
- GrooveMail (email autoresponder)
- GrooveMember (Membership site builder)
- GrooveVideo (Video hosting software)
- GrooveKart (E-commerce platform)
- GrooveWebinars Live (Live webinar platform)
- GrooveWebinars Automated (Automated webinar platform)
- GrooveStreaming Live (Streaming platform for social media)
- GrooveSurvey (Survey feature)
- GrooveQuiz (Quiz feature)
- GrooveBlog (Blogging platform)
- GrooveDesk (Support desk platform)
- GrooveCalendar (Calendar platform)
- GroovePipe CRM (CRM platform)
- GrooveFunnel Mapping (Funnel mapping platform)
- GrooveProof (Social proof platform)
- GrooveAutomations (Automations platforms)
- GrooveSDK (3rd party developer access)
While this list is huge, there is one downside to it.
Some of the features aren’t available yet.
Because GrooveFunnels only launched this year, and that they are pretty much aiming to replace almost the entire SaaS tool market, this was kind of to be expected.
Despite some features not being available yet, there is already so much value in the ones that are. In fact, GrooveFunnels already gives you pretty much everything you need to build an online business, and a lot more than most of its competitors.
Here’s a list of the available features:
- GroovePages
- GrooveMail
- GrooveSell
- GrooveAffiliate
- GrooveMember
- GrooveVideo
- GrooveDesk
- GrooveKart
GrooveFunnels is working actively to bring the other features, but they aren’t available yet. To be fair, the platform already has so much value, I see the rest as a bonus.
Even only with the features that GrooveFunnels has available now, it gives you everything you need to:
- Build high-converting pages
- Create high-converting automation sequences
- Recruit an army of affiliates to sell your products
- Create beautiful membership sites for your students
- Host your video files
- Support your customers
- Build winning eCommerce stores
And the cool thing is, all of these features are available in the free version for you to try too.
ClickFunnels Features
As we have taken a look at GrooveFunnels first, the standard for the features is pretty high. That being said, ClickFunnels is so popular for a couple of reasons. One of them being the features, so let’s take a look at what it has to offer.
Here are ClickFunnels’ core features:
- Page builder
- Webinars
- Membership site builder
- Sales platform/Payments
- Affiliate management
- Follow up funnels/Automations
As you can see the list of ClickFunnels’ features doesn’t quite compare to GrooveFunnels’ list.
Even, the list of features that is currently available in GrooveFunnels is larger than the one that ClickFunnels offers. With video hosting, a support desk feature, and a whole eCommerce platform, GrooveFunnels does seem like a great option.
Plus, GrooveFunnels affiliate management is a little more advanced with better analytics and a few more options.
So, what would be a reason to go for ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels still offers a great platform that many users have found success with. Plus, it’s also more of a “complete” tool, in the sense that it’s fully developed. This means you’ll encounter fewer bugs and that you won’t be waiting on any features.
Although, as mentioned earlier, the list currently available inside of GrooveFunnels is still bigger. That is also one of the reasons why I prefer GrooveFunnels because it’s got what ClickFunnels currently has, but is still evolving.
Advantage: GrooveFunnels
How much does each cost?
Now that we have taken a look at how much power is behind these platforms, let’s take a look at the cost they both come at.
GrooveFunnels Pricing
GrooveFunnels is still in beta which means they are still offering some amazing deals. One of the plans is even completely free as they are looking to get more users on the platform to help them get rid of bugs. Below, I’ve explained all of the GrooveFunnels pricing plans that are currently available.
Something to note as well though is that once GrooveFunnels is fully developed, or maybe even before, it will cost $299 per month for the platinum plan. So, it’s definitely worth getting in early to save thousands of dollars.
GrooveFunnels Free
GrooveFunnels’ first plan is completely free.
And the cool thing about it is that you actually get access to all 20 of the apps inside of Groove. This means GroovePages, GrooveMail, GrooveKart, and all the other apps inside of Groove will be available to you for free. That’s a pretty sweet deal.
The only minor catch with this plan is that the apps have some limits. For example, with GroovePages you can create 3 websites, or you can have up to 500 contacts with GrooveMail. All the apps have little limits like this, but it’s still more than enough to get started.
This is probably the best free plan that any funnel builder or even SaaS tool offers. If you would like to start building your business for free, you can use the button below to sign up for a free account.
GrooveFunnels Platinum Lifetime ($1397 one-time)
The second plan which is available at the moment is GrooveFunnels platinum lifetime.
With this plan, you pay a small one-time fee and get access to all the apps with almost no limits. With most of the apps, you can build unlimited assets like websites, membership sites, etc.
The only limit on it currently is for GrooveMail which is 10,000 subscribers. This used to be 25,000 and might even decrease even more soon. However, you can add more contacts for a small fee if needed.
ClickFunnels Pricing
ClickFunnels is fully developed and has been around for years which means that it won’t have the crazy deals available that Groove has. However, the pricing on ClickFunnels is also great, especially when you consider the value in all of its features, community, and also educational material.
ClickFunnels Standard ($97 Per Month)
This is the standard ClickFunnels plan which gives you access to most of what ClickFunnels has to offer!
The annoying part of this plan is that you don’t get access to affiliate management, follow-up funnels, Funnel Hack-A-Tons and that it has some significant limits which you can see in the table above.
ClickFunnels Platinum ($297 Per Month)
This plan gives you access to the features that the previous plan didn’t, and it has significantly fewer limits. I think most businesses that are using ClickFunnels are probably better off with the Platinum plan. However, that’s also a reason why a lot of people are switching to Groove, because its free plan gives you more features than this plan.
ClickFunnels Two Comma ClubX ($2497 Per Month)
Lastly, there is also the Two Comma ClubX plan. This plan is for businesses that have already scaled to (or are working towards) scaling towards the 7 figure level. Basically, it has almost no limits, up to 10 sub-users, phone support, and some additional educational material.
The main reason you’d need this plan is the 10 sub-users. If you don’t need those, you’ll probably not need this plan.
Advantage: GrooveFunnels
Everything else you need to know about GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels
Which is easier to use?
Both platforms are extremely easy to use. The only minor difference in terms of ease of use is that GrooveFunnels seems to have a few more bugs, because of how new it is.
Advantage: ClickFunnels
Which has better support?
This question depends on which ClickFunnels plan you are on. On the lower $97 per month plan, the support is annoyingly bad. You can often sit there and get this annoying chatbot that doesn’t answer your question and it can take hours or even days to talk to a real person.
However, the $297 plan (and up) comes with priority support which has instant live chat. GrooveFunnels has live chat for all paid members too, and usually for free members as well during normal work hours.
Both options also have ticketing and email support, but overall I’m going to give this one to GrooveFunnels because you don’t have to be on a $297 per month plan to get decent support.
Advantage: GrooveFunnels
Which has more integrations?
Given that GrooveFunnels only launched last year, and ClickFunnels in 2014, it’s pretty obvious that it has more integrations. This is the case in every integration category from autoresponders to webinar platforms.
However, you could argue that GrooveFunnels does not need all these integrations because of all of the features.
Advantage: ClickFunnels
Which has better templates?
Templates are always a hard call to make because I think that preference plays a role to a certain extend. However, I do think that GrooveFunnels has better templates, as they offer more of a modern look and more variety compared to ClickFunnels.
If you want to take a look for yourself, you can see the examples below.
GrooveFunnels templates:
ClickFunnels templates:
Advantage: GrooveFunnels
Which has the better page builder?
Although ClickFunnels is known for its page builder, I’m going to say GrooveFunnels. It has a lot more elements that you can choose from, which gives you greater options to build the pages you like. Plus, I also find the experience when adding these elements onto the page to be a little smoother in general, unless you encounter a bug.
Advantage: GrooveFunnels
My final thoughts
As you have seen throughout this article, GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels are two great platforms. They both offer you some powerful tools to build an online business, but also both have their pros and cons. For me personally, GrooveFunnels takes the crown because of the lifetime deal they’re currently offering.
Why you should choose GrooveFunnels
GrooveFunnels offers a crazy amount of value for quite an affordable price. Plus, with the lifetime options too, you can make a great investment for your business’s future.
You’ll heavily reduce the monthly costs that you will pay in terms of subscriptions for running your business. This means GrooveFunnels is probably an investment that you would not regret.
If you are looking for a true all-in-one platform with everything you need to build an online business, then GrooveFunnels might be the right option for you. Plus, GrooveFunnels gives you all of this for an unbeatable price (or even for free) too.
Why you should choose ClickFunnels
ClickFunnels is as popular as it is for a reason.
Although it can’t quite compete with GrooveFunnels in terms of features, it’s still a great piece of software. ClickFunnels pages also have quite an iconic style which you might want your pages to have as well.
Plus, ClickFunnels is also more complete in the sense that you’ll encounter fewer bugs. It also has a lot of great educational material like FunnelFlix and the Funnel Hack-A-Thons which may also be a reason that you choose ClickFunnels.
And if you’re considering joining ClickFunnels, there’s a pretty sweet deal available where you can get additional training and a discount on their software!
You can see my thoughts on this deal in the Secrets Masterclass review I put together.
