GrooveFunnels and InstaPage are two of the hottest landing page builders on the market, but which one of them should you go with?
In this post, we’ll be taking a deep-dive look at both of these pieces of software to help you choose which one is best for your online business.
We’ll cover their exclusive features, pricing, and everything else you need to know about these tools!
Let’s get right into it.
Here's what we'll cover...
GrooveFunnels is the fastest-growing funnel builder on the market. It only actually launched last year but has since then gained an impressive number of 100,000 members.
The founders of GrooveFunnels are:
- Matt Seralta
- Mike Filsaime
- John Cornetta
- Matt Naus
It aims to be an all-in-one solution that takes all the SaaS tools businesses need and puts them into one dashboard.
Plus, it also seems to focus on performing well in areas where most other funnel builders fail, such as page speed, or having a blogging platform. But, we’ll talk more about that later on.
InstaPage was founded in 2012 by Tyson Quick and has since become one of the most popular landing page builders on the market.
Tyson Quick started developing the platform after seeing how many marketers were losing money in wasted ad spend. So, it’s quite cool to see a platform created for such a specific need to become so popular.
Unlike GrooveFunnels, it only focuses on providing its customers with the best possible landing page builder.
Which Has The Better Features?
Now that we have taken a look at some basic information about both platforms let’s dive into the features.
As mentioned earlier, GrooveFunnels aims to be an all-in-one software. In fact, despite being so new, it actually achieves its goal pretty well.
Already, the software offers more than enough to help its users build an online business.
Here’s the full list of features:
- GroovePages (Page builder)
- GrooveSell (Sales platform)
- GrooveAffiliate (Affiliate platform)
- GrooveMail (email autoresponder)
- GrooveMember (Membership site builder)
- GrooveVideo (Video hosting software)
- GrooveKart (E-commerce platform)
- GrooveWebinars Live (Live webinar platform)
- GrooveWebinars Automated (Automated webinar platform)
- GrooveStreaming Live (Streaming platform for social media)
- GrooveSurvey (Survey feature)
- GrooveQuiz (Quiz feature)
- GrooveBlog (Blogging platform)
- GrooveDesk (Support desk platform)
- GrooveCalendar (Calendar platform)
- GroovePipe CRM (CRM platform)
- GrooveFunnel Mapping (Funnel mapping platform)
- GrooveProof (Social proof platform)
- GrooveAutomations (Automations platforms)
- GrooveSDK (3rd party developer access)
As you can see, GrooveFunnels comes with everything you need. I think most of us would struggle to come up with a feature that it doesn’t have.
It definitely outperforms the other “all-in-one” funnel builders on the market, so I think it has a lot of value for most businesses.
However, it’s also worth mentioning that some of the features aren’t available yet.
The following GrooveFunnels features are ready to be used inside of the platform:
The rest should be coming in the next few months. I also don’t doubt that the features will be coming because Mike Filsaime and the rest of the people behind GrooveFunnels are reliable and have a reputation to uphold.
Plus, Mike has also been involved in Kartra, WebinarJam, and EverWebinar, which were all successful projects.
The platform already offers more than most of its competition, despite being in beta, so it’s already very powerful even though it being so affordable.
Plus, the features individually are great too. For example, the pages that you create inside of GrooveFunnels load fast. Or the membership site builder comes with everything you’d expect from a software piece that you’d use separately.
Most of GrooveFunnel’s competitors find it quite hard to compete with its features, and it’s no surprise when you take a look at the list.
If you choose GrooveFunnels, you’ll have everything you need to build a powerful marketing machine for your business that generates and converts leads. And, it does more than several other SaaS tools combined, which is extremely impressive.
As you have seen above, GrooveFunnels sets the standard pretty high when it comes to features. Let’s take a look to see how InstaPage compares.
Landing Page Builder & Templates
InstaPage’s landing page builder and the templates are the platform’s main focus. This, alongside the fact that it has been around since 2012, contributes to how great it is in this field. The builder runs smoothly, and so do the pages that you create.
Some of the things that make InstaPage’s landing page builder unique are:
- The user experience is better than with a lot of its competitors
- The pages load fast
- It has 500+ templates that look very nice
- You can collaborate with your team
However, compared to GrooveFunnels, it’s surprisingly only slightly better in all of these aspects (if that!). GrooveFunnels’ pages also perform well in usability and page speed, so there are no issues there.
And, while InstaPage lets you collaborate with team members, GrooveFunnels allows you to share your entire funnels.
Right now, InstaPage does have a few more landing page templates, but I would imagine that changing in the future because of the rate at which GrooveFunnels is developing.
When comparing both the platforms in these aspects, I was actually quite surprised how close it was, as InstaPage specializes in them. And, because of how well GrooveFunnels performs, despite having so many other features as well.
You must also remember that GrooveFunnels also has a built-in tool for almost every other type of SaaS tool. So, that it competes so well here, is quite a surprise.
One feature that InstaPage has that GrooveFunnels doesn’t is personalization on the pages based on the visitor’s behavior.
So, for example, if you’re running ads and your visitor’s search for a term, your landing page can adjust to that term. This is pretty cool, and I don’t know too many landing page builders that offer this.
Plus, it can definitely have a positive impact on your conversions.
Experimentation is InstaPage’s A/B testing feature. Everything that you create inside of the platform can be split-tested, so that’s pretty cool too.
The AdMap feature that InstaPage is pretty cool, too, as it allows you to visualize your advertising campaigns. This can help you evaluate your customer journey’s post-click stage, which will ultimately help you run more effective campaigns.
Plus, if you have ever heard of the post-click score, which is an important metric for advertising, it also helps you track it and shows advanced analytics of your campaign.
Again, this is extremely useful for those of you that are looking to focus on advertising channels.
Advantage: GrooveFunnels. InstaPage has some pretty cool features, especially if you would like to focus on advertising. However, they don’t quite compete with GrooveFunnels’ huge list of built-in tools for pretty much every aspect of your business even then.
How Much Does Each Cost?
Okay, so we’ve taken a look at what both of the platforms have to offer. Let’s take a look at the cost at which they come at.
GrooveFunnels has only launched last year and is still in beta. For that reason, you can get some pretty sweet deals right now. Take a look at them below.
As you can guess, this plan is completely free.
The cool thing about it is that you get access to ALL of GrooveFunnels’ tools despite it being free. If you’re just starting your business, I definitely recommend taking advantage of this opportunity, as it likely won’t be available in the future.
As you’d expect this plan, does have a few limits in resources, for example, contacts or the number of sites you can create. Most other SaaS tools would charge hundreds of dollars per month for these tools, even with those limits.
Here’s a list of the main limits on the free plan:
- 3 Websites
- 3 Custom domains
- 500 email contacts
- 15 videos
- 1 Membership site
- GrooveKart higher fees
But, no matter whether you want to start affiliate marketing, an E-commerce store, a service-based business, or anything similar, this plan should be more than enough to get you started.
GrooveFunnels Platinum Lifetime
In the future, GrooveFunnels will cost anywhere from $99 to $299 per month, depending on the limits, features, etc.
However, at the moment, you can get lifetime access to GrooveFunnels Platinum for just $1,397. That’s the price you pay once, and then you have access to the tools forever.
If you compare this to the thousands of dollars you will spend every month to get these tools separately; it’s an insane deal. There are also almost no limits on this plan, besides the 10,000 contacts.
As you can see below, InstaPage only has two pricing plans, one of which is the custom plan.
I haven’t tried the custom plan, so I can’t explain how much it costs. However, it does have a lot of the best features on the platform, which is quite annoying…
The standard plan costs $199 per month, which isn’t exactly cheap, and it also has some annoying limits; 30,000 visitors, 30 landing pages, and 5 workspaces.
Take a look at the details here:
Advantage: GrooveFunnels. I’m not too fond of InstaPage’s pricing plans, as there isn’t enough information on the custom option.
Plus, GrooveFunnels’ pricing plans are quite hard to beat at this moment because of the insane lifetime and free plan.
Everything Else You Need To Know About GrooveFunnels & Instapage
Lastly, here is everything else you need to know about GrooveFunnels & Instapage.
Which Is Easier To Use?
These days, most SaaS tools are pretty easy to use. It’s the same with both of these platforms, although they both have a learning curve.
InstaPage has one because it has some pretty unique features, and GrooveFunnels does too because it has a huge list of features.
Advantage: Overall, this one is quite hard to call, so I’m going to call it a tie. But, you shouldn’t run into issues with either; just expect a learning curve.
Which Has Better Support?
It’s another tie for this one; both have live chat and ticketing support.
I haven’t had too many issues with the platforms myself personally, but their support teams have been quite good when I have had questions.
Which has more Integrations?
InstaPage has been around since 2012, so as you’d guess, they do have a few more integrations.
That being said, GrooveFunnels doesn’t really need them because of its large list of features. For example, if you want to leverage email marketing or build a membership site, you’ll need an integration when using InstaPage. However, GrooveFunnels has those and a range of other features built-in, so of course, it will have fewer integrations.
Still, this is a point for InstaPage, but I just wanted to explain that.
Which Has Better Templates?
InstaPage has some truly gorgeous templates for landing pages that are even nicer than the ones in GrooveFunnels. And that’s not exactly easy to achieve, as GrooveFunnels has some excellent templates.
However, GrooveFunnels has a wider variety of templates for more types of websites. For these reasons, I’d call it a tie in terms of templates.
Which Has The Better Page Builder?
Surprisingly, I actually preferred GrooveFunnels’ page builder over InstaPage’s. They both have a different selection of elements you can choose from.
Still, I think most marketers would appreciate GrooveFunnels’ selection more as they are more helpful when pushing for conversions.
So, for me, GrooveFunnels wins this one. However, InstaPage’s is just behind, as their page builder is also outstanding.
My Final Thoughts
Overall, I think GrooveFunnels would be suited to more businesses as it does a lot more for an incredible price.
However, that doesn’t mean that it’s necessarily the right option for everyone. That’s why I’ve explained in a little more detail down below why you should choose GrooveFunnels or InstaPage.
Why Choose GrooveFunnels
As we saw earlier, GrooveFunnels is a monster when it comes to features. It replaces almost all SaaS tools in the internet marketing industry or at least will do so in the future.
The tools it provides you with are everything you need to create a highly effective marketing system for your business. And, if that’s something that you’d like to have for your business, GrooveFunnels is the best choice.
Not only is it the most effective choice as you have everything in one dashboard, but it is also the most affordable. Paying for all of those tools separately would cost you thousands, and with GrooveFunnels, you can get access to them for a small one-time fee.
Why Choose InstaPage
InstaPage is also not a bad choice, especially if you are looking for the specific tools it provides.
For example, if you are looking for a personalization feature, or need the Advertising maps, then InstaPage is one of the best options on the market. It’s also no coincidence that many enterprise businesses like eBay, Soundcloud, or Honey have used InstaPage.
For these reasons, I think if you have a high traffic volume business, Instapage could be a great choice, despite losing out on big features compared to competitors.
However, for most small businesses, the tools that InstaPage provides would only make a minor impact, so it would be better to go for something like GrooveFunnels what comes with a lot more tools (that can make a big impact on revenue).
