Are you looking for a reliable funnel builder to use for your business?
Maybe you’ve tried Clickfunnels, and found it too expensive? Let me help you out.
I’ve used many funnel builders, and I recently tested DropFunnels to see what all the hype is about – It’s the supposed “Clickfunnels Killer.” I’m here to share my experiences with the platform, whether I think it’s worth investing in, and everything else you should know about DropFunnels.
And if you’re just looking for a free trial of the software, you can click the button below and try it out 14-days risk free!
Here's What We'll Cover...
What is DropFunnels?
What makes them unique is instead of being a traditional funnel building software that neglects SEO and site speed, they offer the functionality to rank higher in Google and other search engines.
That’s the main thing that led me to testing out DropFunnels, since I’ve found it quite hard to rank pages using other funnel builders. Since their software is actually built using WordPress and the Beaver Builder plugin, it really does have this functionality!
Whether you want to build landing pages, membership sites, full on websites, or use their link tracker, you have the capabilities to do so with DropFunnels.
Do you need a sales funnel, website, or both?
A lot of people out their are attracted to funnels due to marketing tactics by Russell Brunson and the Clickfunnels team. That’s where I personally heard of the concept, and it’s an intriguing one.
But truthfully, not everybody needs a sales funnel. Some businesses are way better off using a traditional website, and that’s something I found out in my personal business.
What to think about when making a decision
If you are planning on using social media and paid advertisements for your traffic, a marketing funnel will usually provide better results since it’s optimized for leads and conversions!
However, if you are using a traditional website, you’ll find it much easier to rank in Google and build a central hub for your business. This is the category I fall into, but I do use funnels in certain scenarios.
That leads me into who DropFunnels is designed specifically for, since it supposedly brings the best of both worlds together… but does it really? We’ll go over that later.
Who is DropFunnels designed for?
DropFunnels fits a specific niche in my opinion, which is beginners who are looking to start their online business and find an all-in-one marketing platform.
If you need a sales funnel, you can create that. If you need a classic website, you can build that too. Their platform is super versatile, and that’s one thing I really liked about it.
While I’m not sure it’s the best solution for those people, it’s definitely an option worth trying out. You can start a free trial, test it out, and see if it’s a good fit for you!

As you can see, these are the standard features you’d expect when choosing a marketing platform. It comes down to personal preference, which is why I’d highly recommend starting a free trial and seeing how it works for you!
All funnel builders and landing page builders have a learning curve, so it’s best to try them and see what you like or don’t like. That’s the only way to tell if it’s going to work out!
What can you build with DropFunnels?
Like I’ve said, DropFunnels is super versatile in the regard that you can build just about everything you’d imagine. They consider themselves more than just a sales funnel builder, and “the ultimate online marketing system for digital marketers!”
They’re setting quite the expectations, so let’s go over what you can create with them!
Here’s what you can build:
- Website Pages
- Complete Sales Funnels
- Membership Sites
- Course Hosting
- Custom Checkouts
Having the ability to create all of this in one central platform is not something to take for granted, they’re setting the bar high moving forward for competing tools. The main difference here is the blog section, since other funnel building softwares just can’t compete with WordPress for SEO purposes.
Most internet marketers will be fine switching over to DropFunnels from the funnel builder they’re currently using, but I’d suggest reading the next two sections where I break down my personal experiences with the software. This will help you better understand the small things that make or break a platform like this…
What I liked about it
One of my favorite features that DropFunnels offers is the amount of customization available. You can build just about anything you’d like, so it’s functionality is top-notch. Since they’re using Beaver Builder and WordPress to power their software, you have no limits in what you can or can’t create on their platform!
Something else that intrigued me about DropFunnels is how it’s fully search engine optimized. While I won’t personally move away from WordPress for my blogs, it’s a great way to get your feet wet in blogging! When you pair this with the loading times of their funnels, there’s a lot to be excited about with this platform.
Also, they’re super affordable to get started with in comparison to similar tools. We’ll dive deeper into the pricing later in this review, but DropFunnels is going to be a great value purchase!
What wasn’t so great
There’s a few things about DropFunnels that really turned me off from it. It’s the main reason I won’t be investing in their software moving forward…
I want you to have a complete look at my experiences with the software, to determine if it’s right for you.
The first thing I found underwhelming is there are only 9 funnel templates to pick from. When you sign up for Builderall or Clickfunnels, you get far more templates and the ability to share funnels with other users! This makes building a funnel more tedious, since you have to redesign the entire template to what you would like to make.
Another thing I didn’t like is how long it took for a template to import and be ready to edit. It took 3 minutes just for the base template to popup and be editable, and that’s far longer than other similar tools! While this really isn’t a big deal in the grand scheme of things, it’s something to note.
For beginners, this is going to be pretty complex to get started with. I use WordPress and page builders a lot, and it was tricky to get started and build what I wanted. Since it’s built using WordPress and Beaver Builder, it felt flimsy and unreliable. You’d be better off picking up your own hosting, setting up WordPress, and downloading a page builder on your own! This gives you complete control of plugins, and no worries about the future if they get shut down.
The last thing I found super annoying is how many times they contact you after signing up. In the first few hours of starting my free trial, I received five emails, one text message, one call, and a voicemail. I understand trying to help out your customers, but spamming isn’t something I appreciate!
DropFunnels Pricing Guide
DropFunnels offers a 14-day free trial to anybody looking to test out their software before purchasing. This makes it entirely risk free, and it’s a good sign that they’re confident in what they’ve put together.
Here’s exactly what you will get with both plans.
After the two week trial period has ended, you’ll have two pricing plans moving forward! The only difference between the two options is the amount of visitors you can get per month, which we’ll break down.
DropFunnels Starter Plan
First, DropFunnels has a lower priced option which is their starter plan. It costs just $49 per month right now, and it includes their guaranteed price-lock. In comparison to other similar funnel builders, this is a rather affordable option.
The only limitation you’ll have on this plan is the amount of visitors that you can have each month, and that’s capped at 10,000. If you were to need more, you will have to upgrade to their Pro plan! They consider the starter plan to be great for local businesses, and hobbyists which sounds about right.
DropFunnels Pro Plan
DropFunnels Pro is their highest priced option, and it’s meant for high-traffic websites. It’s currently $147 per month, and it includes a price-lock guarantee. While that may seem quite expensive at first glance, it’s still cheaper than most other high-end plans of funnel building softwares.
And instead of being limited to 10,000 visitors per month, you can have up to 250,000 monthly visitors with the Pro plan! That should be more than enough, unless you are a massive company.
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions regarding DropFunnels…
Does DropFunnels offer a free trial?
DropFunnels does offer a two-week free trial to any new members. This gives you the ability to test the software out for yourself, so you can make a decision on whether or not it’s worth investing in!
Can I cancel DropFunnels at any time?
Sure can! There’s no contract or obligation when you join DropFunnels. You can cancel your membership at any time with no worries.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes you can! While they supply a free subdomain for you to use(yourname.dropfunnels.com), you can integrate your own personal domain to keep everything professional.
Do you need your own hosting?
Nope! Like other similar funnel builders, DropFunnels provides the hosting so you don’t have to pay another fee each month.
Are there any hidden fees?
No there are not. You pay for the plan each month, and they’ll cover the rest.
What autoresponders does DropFunnels integrate with?
DropFunnels currently integrates with the following autoresponders: ActiveCampaign, Aweber, Constant Contact, ConvertKit, GetResponse, Infusionsoft, MailChimp, and Ontraport.
Does DropFunnels have an affiliate program?
DropFunnels has a generous affiliate program, offering 30% commission to you for each paying member you refer. This program allows you to create monthly recurring revenue for your affiliate marketing business!
DropFunnels is still a new software, so it’s hard to say where they will go moving forward. I think they’ll make improvements where they need, and the product will improve over time. For how long they’ve been around and the price point, it’s an acceptable option and worth trying out.
While DropFunnels definitely has a niche market, I’m not a part of it. Blogging is my focus, and I can build everything I need to with Elementor and WordPress. If I was looking to build a sales funnel, I’d go with ClickFunnels instead! They’re easier to use, and more reliable in my experiences.
But if you are on a lower budget and you’re looking for a true all-in-one marketing platform, DropFunnels could be a good fit for you! Luckily, they offer a 14-day free trial so you can test it out for yourself before investing anything.
