Are you looking for a reliable funnel builder to use for your business?
Maybe you’ve tried Clickfunnels, and found it too expensive or clunky? Well, let me help you out.
I’ve used many funnel builders, and I recently tested DropFunnels to see what all the hype is about, I’ve seen a lot of takes on the platform that I was dying to try it out myself! Now I’m here to share my experiences with the platform, whether I think it’s worth trying for yourself, and what else you should know about DropFunnels.
Here's what we'll cover...
What is DropFunnels?
What makes them unique is instead of being a traditional funnel building software that neglects SEO and site speed, they offer the functionality to rank higher in Google and other search engines.
That’s the main thing that led me to testing out DropFunnels, since I’ve found it quite hard to rank pages using other funnel builders. Since their software is actually built using WordPress and the Beaver Builder plugin, it really does have this functionality!
Whether you want to build landing pages, membership sites, full on websites, or use their link tracker, you have the capabilities to do so with DropFunnels.
Do you need a sales funnel, website, or both?
A lot of people out there are attracted to funnels due to marketing tactics by Russell Brunson and the Clickfunnels team. That’s where I personally heard of the concept, and it’s an intriguing one.
But truthfully, not everybody needs a sales funnel. Some businesses are way better off using a traditional website, and that’s something I found out in my personal business.
Luckily, DropFunnels is a page builder that can help you build a sales funnel or website!
What to think about when making a decision
If you are planning on using social media and paid advertisements for your traffic, a marketing funnel will usually provide better results since it’s optimized for leads and conversions!
However, if you are using a traditional website, you’ll find it much easier to rank in Google and build a central hub for your business. This is the category I fall into, but I do use funnels in certain scenarios.
That leads me into who DropFunnels is designed specifically for, since it supposedly brings the best of both worlds together… but does it really? We’ll go over that later.
Who is DropFunnels designed for?
DropFunnels fits a specific niche in my opinion, which is beginners who are looking to start their online business and find an all-in-one marketing platform.
If you need a sales funnel, you can create that. If you need a classic website, you can build that too. Their platform is super versatile, and that’s one thing I really liked about it.
While I’m not sure it’s the #1 funnel builder on the market, it’s definitely an option worth trying. You can start a free trial, test it out, and see if it’s a good fit for you!
My favorite DropFunnels features
Knowing the features of a funnel building software is always helpful before diving right in. What DropFunnels offers is pretty similar to what GrooveFunnels, ClickFunnels, Builderall, Kartra, Kajabi, and other tools have readily available!
- Everything You Need Is Included!
- Unlimited Mobile-Friendly Pages
- Unlimited Funnels & Funnel Steps
- Custom Checkouts & 1-Click Upsells
- Unlimited Membership Sites & Courses
- Unlimited Landing Pages
- Unlimited Blog Posts
- CRM with Unlimited Leads & Contacts
- Professionally Designed Themes
- Payment Integration with Stripe
- SSL Certificate
- Custom Domain Mapping
- Super Fast Page Load Speeds
- Drag and Drop Visual Editor
- Built-in SEO Framework
- Built-in Link Tracker
- Powerful Hosting Included
As you can see, these are the standard features you’d expect when choosing a marketing platform. It comes down to personal preference, which is why I’d highly recommend starting a free trial and seeing how it works for you!
All funnel builders and landing page builders have a learning curve, so it’s best to try them and see what you like or don’t like. That’s the only way to tell if it’s going to work out!
What can you build with DropFunnels?
Like I’ve said, DropFunnels is super versatile in the regard that you can build just about everything you’d imagine. They consider themselves more than just a sales funnel builder, and “the ultimate online marketing system for digital marketers!”
They’re setting quite the expectations, so let’s go over what you can create with them!
Here’s what you can build:
- Website Pages
- Complete Sales Funnels
- Membership Sites
- Course Hosting
- Custom Checkouts
Having the ability to create all of this in one central platform is not something to take for granted, they’re setting the bar high moving forward for competing tools. The main difference here is the blog section, since other funnel building softwares just can’t compete with WordPress for SEO purposes.
Most internet marketers will be fine switching over to DropFunnels from the funnel builder they’re currently using, but I’d suggest reading the next two sections where I break down my personal experiences with the software. This will help you better understand the small things that make or break a platform like this…
What I liked about it
One of my favorite features that DropFunnels offers is the amount of customization available. You can build just about anything you’d like, so it’s functionality is top-notch. Since they’re using Beaver Builder and WordPress to power their software, you have no limits in what you can or can’t create on their platform!
Something else that intrigued me about DropFunnels is how it’s fully search engine optimized. While I won’t personally move away from WordPress for my blogs, it’s a great way to get your feet wet in blogging! When you pair this with the loading times of their funnels, there’s a lot to be excited about with this platform.
When you compare how fast the funnels and pages load, it’s definitely one of the most powerful funnel building tools on the market.
In July of 2020, they added the functionality to one-click import funnels directly from Clickfunnels share funnels, which is something that really gives me confidence with this platform! This gives any Clickfunnels user the ability to switch and save $50 a month, while gaining a faster site using DropFunnels.
Also, they’re super affordable to get started with in comparison to similar tools. We’ll dive deeper into the pricing later in this review, but DropFunnels is going to be a great value purchase!
What wasn’t so great
There’s a few things about DropFunnels that gave me a sour taste, but it wasn’t enough to stop me from using DropFunnels!
I want to be completely transparent and show you my full experience…
The first thing I found underwhelming is the amount of templates available. When you sign up for a tool like Kartra or GrooveFunnels, you get far more templates! Now that DropFunnels has integrated the share funnels feature and opened their own marketplace, this isn’t much of an issue.
Another thing I didn’t like is how long it took for a template to import. It took a couple of minutes for the template to load and become editable! It isn’t a huge deal in the grand scheme of things, it’s worth noting.
Also, DropFunnels is slightly more complex to lean than their competitors, but the performance makes it worthwhile in my opinion. Their page speeds are known to be the fastest in the industry!
The last thing I found annoying is how overwhelming the welcoming was. There were multiple phone calls, emails, voicemails, text messages, it was just too much! But, I’ve heard it’s not like this anymore so shouldn’t be an issue.
DropFunnels Pricing Guide
DropFunnels pricing is rather straight-forward, with three options to choose from. All of these come with a 14-day free trial so you can test the software out. This makes it entirely risk free, and it’s a good sign that they’re confident in what they’ve put together!
Here’s exactly what you will get with each of the three plans:
After the two week trial period has ended, you’ll have three pricing plans to choose from moving forward!
DropFunnels Starter Plan
First, DropFunnels has a lower priced option which is their starter plan. It costs just $49 per month right now, and it includes their guaranteed price-lock. In comparison to other similar funnel builders, this is a rather affordable option.
The only limitation you’ll have on this plan is the amount of visitors that you can have each month, and that’s capped at 10,000. If you were to need more, you will have to upgrade to their Pro plan! They consider the starter plan to be great for local businesses, and hobbyists which sounds about right.
DropFunnels Pro Plan
DropFunnels Pro is their middle level option, and it’s meant for high-traffic websites. It’s currently $149 per month, and it includes a price-lock guarantee. While that may seem quite expensive at first glance, it’s still cheaper than most other high-end plans of funnel building softwares.
And instead of being limited to 10,000 visitors per month, you can have up to 250,000 monthly visitors with the Pro plan! That should be more than enough, unless you are a massive company.
DropFunnels Agency Plan
DropFunnels Agency Plan is their highest level option, meant for agencies and freelancers. It’s currently priced at $297 per month (normally $397/m – 40% off!), and includes a price-lock guarantee. You’ll have everything you need to use DropFunnels for your clients, making it a great option!
You can have up to 10 starter sites / domains under 1 managed login. There are no other limits on this plan or the features included! For $297 per month, this is a no-brainer for everything that’s in this plan.
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions regarding DropFunnels…

What autoresponders does DropFunnels integrate with?
Does DropFunnels have an affiliate program?
Yes, they have an open affiliate program. DropFunnels has a generous affiliate program, offering 30% recurring commissions for each paying member you refer!
DropFunnels is still a relatively new software, but there’s a lot of promise with what they’ve created so far. I’m sure they’ll make improvements where they need, and the software will become more complete with time. For how long they’ve been around and how affordable it is, you should definitely give DropFunnels a try!
